Driving research and innovation beyond your lifetime
For those interested in making a valuable contribution to social development beyond their lifetime: with a legacy you can bequeath your estate, as a whole or in part, to the ETH Zurich Foundation.
A legacy particularly lends itself to this purpose because it enables you to bequeath separate and clearly defined wealth or material assets to the Foundation. In addition, you can specify the use for which the endowment is to be applied.
Creating a sub-charity
Your legacy can also take the form of a sub-charity or a fund. This ensures that your funding takes on a form that is tailored to your person: you can designate its name and field of application.
In principle, the sub-charity or fund corresponds to that of a foundation but avoids the high costs and administrative work usually associated with managing a foundation.
