Researcher today, entrepreneur tomorrow
At ETH Zurich, around 100 patents are filed each year and numerous discoveries are made in laboratories and research groups on a daily basis. However, a start-up or marketable product is often a long way off.
Pioneer Fellowships enable the most talented and ambitious researchers to develop their ideas into highly innovative commercial products or services for the benefit of society.
Pioneer Fellowships are awarded via a competitive process. Twice a year, the most promising candidates are selected by a panel of experts chaired by Professor Detlef Günther (ETH Vice President Research and Corporate Relations). Successful applicants receive up to CHF 150,000 in seed capital and coaching for a maximum period of 18 months.
In the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Labs (ieLabs), Pioneer Fellows are supervised and supported by experienced coaches – themselves successful entrepreneurs – on their way to realizing their entrepreneurial goals.
Further information on the program is available here.
